DRAW ANALYSIS: SANTA CROCE

First Half
1) Maria Ptacnikova, CZE vs. Elsa Leclerc, MON
A clash between two clay-lovers. Not much is known about the Czech but we do know that Leclerc is an amazing counterpuncher, it might be hard for Ptacnikova to hit past Leclerc but the Czech might have to advantage if she's able to exploit Leclerc's less reliable service.

2) Boglarka Komlos, HUN vs. Gisela Lopez-Pena, ARG
With a two year age difference between them, this will be an interesting match-up. Will Lopez-Pena's aggressive game be enough against the younger Hungarian or will Komlos pull an upset by beating an older opponent. Despite having a great baseline game, it's clear that the Argentinian is reluctant to go up to the net but she has proven to be a force to be reckoned with having pulled wins over players from the pro tour in the 2019 Northern Cup.

3) Zhenzhen Xiang, CHN vs. Zanna Ozollapa, LAT
One of the junior tour's biggest servers, the Chinese surely is one formidable opponent. In addition to a big serve, Xiang also possesses a blistering forehand she hits with a generous amount of topspin. Her Latvian opponent must be able to hurl strokes towards the Chinese's inferior backhand side but she must also be ready to receive countless backhand slices.

4) Naomi Elliot, NOR vs. Samantha Smith, USA
The younger sister of a remarkable pro tour player (Piper Elliot, CMIIW), Naomi Elliot is one of the youngest players on the tour. Elliot's first opponent will be American Samantha Smith, Elliot must hope that her beautiful all-court game will not fail her in her debut match. Another player utilizing the well-proven big serve and forehand combo, Elliot must find the court or else Smith's solid game will prove too much for the younger Norwegian.

Second Half
5) Misty Naranja, PHI vs. Wu Ya-ling, TPE
A battle between Asian spirits featuring Philippines's hope Misty Naranja and rising Taiwanese star Wu Ya-ling. Wu has a solid backhand that she uses to hit winners from the most unthinkable position on the court thanks to her above-average variety, the Pinoy must be able to withstand Wu's powerful bombs and find her own ways to exploit Wu's powderpuff second serve.

6) Eitak Naws, INA vs. Annika Svindal, DEN
Sydney-born Naws is a rising star in the tennis world. Owner of a grandiose all-court game, Naws moves like music on the court but don't underestimate her pinpoint forehand that she uses to bail her out of problems. That said, Svindal is no pushover, among the plethora of Danish teens who were inspired by the success of their countrywomen in the pro tour, Svindal is a natural talent with an amazing work ethic who's more than capable of pulling a great win.

7) Cho Jin-joo, KOR vs. Heidi Ivankhenko, INA
Cho is among the many premier power players of the junior tour. She is solid on both wings, capable of hitting highlight-reel worthy winners out of nowhere. But, she is also known for her sometimes erratic behavior of gifting a great amount of unforced errors due to her tendency of over-hitting shots. Her opponent in her grand debut will be Indonesian, Heidi Ivankhenko, someone who's relatively new to tennis and hence hasn't developed her own trademark playing style. Ivankhenko's strength lies in the more athletic aspect of tennis, possessing great stamina and footwork to compensate her unreliable serve and powerless strokes.

8) Milena Zivkovic, SRB vs. Amina Bulova, RUS
The showdown between two aggressive baseliners that will guarantee a festival of mouthwatering shots! Bulova is an amazing power player with her trademark shot being her backhand down the line that she builds her game around upon whereas Zivkovic is solid from both wings and is definitely a player born for the highlight reels. That said, they both have their humbling weaknesses with a tendency to neglect gameplans in favor of hitting powerful shots all over the court for Bulova and a liability in the form of serve and netplay for the Serbian. This match will come down to who is able to play a higher percentage tennis
